Off-road buggies are famous for their ‘go-anywhere’ capabilities and the 1/10 scale EP (electric) format is particularly popular. True to its dirt-bashing prowess, Kyosho is proud to introduce the ‘Dune Master’ to the Ultima SB series of mid-class EP buggies. Built on the Ultima SB chassis with rear motor RWD (rear wheel drive) for its superior rear tire traction and maneuverability, the Dune Master features a new basher body that looks like a modified car rather than the open wheel buggy style. New tire and wheel designs highlight the appeal of the original car body style. Based on the Ultima RB5 chassis which was previously a competition-level racer, each component has been reviewed to deliver superior handling and control for beginners at an optimal price. The rear motor configuration improves rear grip, allowing for traction stability on low-grip surfaces such as sports fields and open terrain as well as delivering high-speed performance on proper R/C race tracks. The new Ultima SB Dune Master and its highly popular Ultima SB Dirt Master predecessor set the standard for modern mid-class buggies that can be enjoyed by all drivers, either as a step up from entry-level models or as a second car for experienced drivers.

Turnbuckles on suspension and steering rods allow length adjustment while installed for fast and accurate setting changes.

The steering mechanism is equipped with a servo-saver function that protects the servo from crashes and shocks.

Full bearing specifications are standard and deliver exceptional drive system efficiency.

Compatible with optional parts for the Ultima series for further tuning and styling.

The newly designed body is based on a full-scale off-road vehicle in the basher or Baja style. Its realistic sense of scale recreates a dynamic off-road atmosphere different to other off-road racing buggies. Front fog lights can be fitted with the optional LED light unit (sold separately). In addition, side mirrors and driver figures in the cockpit recreate a more realistic driving experience. A realistic molded resin roll cage mounted on the rear of the chassis recreates that wasteland dirt basher style. Roll cage can also be fitted with vintage car rear wing (sold separately) to add a wild style to its elevated driving performance. The wheel design is aligned to its real-car-like body styling. The rear wheels are the same dish type used on the Dirt Cross 4WD while the front wheels are newly designed for the Dune Master. Micropin spike tires on the front and rear deliver extreme grip. Wider front tires than the Ultima SB Dirt Master optimize front/rear grip balance while elevating overall appearance. Rear 2WD off-road buggy based on the competition-level Ultimate RB5 chassis with a rich track record at major races including World Championships. Compatible with almost all batteries for 1/10 scale models including standard straight packs. Resin oil shocks absorb and moderate feedback from the road surface to maintain a stable posture of the vehicle. Dial adjustment of spring tension makes it easy to set chassis height. A wide range of race-spec springs can also be fitted. The gear differential on the rear enables smooth cornering and is easy to assemble and maintain. Add diff oil (sold separately) to convert into oil-filled diff. Ultima series ball differential can also be fitted for circuit driving. Tapping screws with easy maintenance 2mm hex heads are mainly used for fixing plastic parts, instead of plus-head screws usually used on entry-level models.
